Ilhan Omar joins praise of man who pummeled Rand Paul

Muslim U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has joined in praising the man who was convicted of assaulting Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

Omar, who has stirred controversy for her anti-Semitic tweets, was responding to Paul’s suggestion she go visit her native Somalia to “appreciate America more,” .

Omar retweeted a message from actor Tom Arnold, who wrote: “Imagine being Rand Paul’s next door neighbor and having to deal with lying cowardly circular whiney bullcrap about lawn clippings. No wonder he ripped his toupee off.”

Arnold’s tweet was an apparent reference to the 2017 incident in which Rene Boucher, Paul’s neighbor in Bowling Green, Kentucky, physically attacked the senator over a disagreement about lawn refuse, the Examiner said.

Boucher pleaded guilty to the assault, which left Paul with six cracked ribs, bruised lungs and a “living hell” of pain.

New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin reacted to Omar’s retweet.

“Ilhan Omar’s brilliant Monday idea is RTing this celebration of a violent physical assault on a fellow Member of Congress who was actually attacked. Incredibly gross,” he wrote.

Omar’s attack on Paul “subtle but unmistakable.”

Paul had suggested that if Omar were to visit Somalia, which she fled as a refugee to the United States, “she might come back and appreciate America more.” He offered to help pay for the airline ticket.

Paul pointed out that Somalia “has no capitalism, has no God-given rights guaranteed in a constitution, and has about seven different tribes that have been fighting each other for the last 40 years.”

: “Apparently six broken ribs and more than half a million dollars in damages weren’t enough for America’s most anti-Semitic congresswoman. Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, a Democrat, took a break from spewing Hamas sympathies and allegedly violating state and federal tax laws to cover up her seemingly sham marriage to retweet a joke endorsing the 2017 assault of Republican Sen. Rand Paul.”

Lowe noted the neighbor blindsided Paul while the senator was wearing noise-canceling headphones.

“Boucher left Paul with five or six broken ribs, subsequent pneumonia, weeks required for medical leave, and breathing issues for the following year. Boucher, a Democrat who maintained that the attack was motivated by ordinary neighborly rage rather than political animus, was ordered to give Paul $582,834 for damages, pain, and medical expenses.”

Lowe wrote that while Omar has said “violent rhetoric … [has] no place in society,” she is “teasing, if not openly inviting, the brutal assault.”

“It raises the question, who’s threatening the peace that makes our republic even possible?” Lowe wrote.

that amid claims she married and divorced her brother in an immigration scam, she has left her current husband and moved into an apartment in a trendy Minneapolis neighborhood.

As , investigative reporter David Steinberg and others have published over the past three years substantial evidence that Omar married her brother to defraud U.S. immigration and perjured herself eight times in her divorce statement. In addition, a Minnesota state agency last month fined her for filing joint tax returns with Hirsi while she was legally married to another man.

Omar says she first married Hirsi in an Islamic ceremony in 2002, but six years later they “reached an impasse in our life together” and divorced. In 2009, she legally married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. She says she reconciled with Hirsi in 2012. But she didn’t divorce Elmi until 2017, after evidence emerged in her runs for office that Elmi is her biological brother.

DailyMail approached Hirsi outside the luxury apartment complex about the split.

“Wow,” he replied. “I can’t comment on that.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t say anything,” he added before driving off in his BMW.

A family friend told DailyMail that Hirsi “only goes there when Ilhan is in DC.”

“When she’s in Minneapolis he sleeps at his house.”

Last week, as , the watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a House Ethics complaint against Omar calling for a congressional investigation of allegations of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud and federal student loan fraud.

“The evidence is overwhelming Rep. Omar may have violated the law and House rules,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The House of Representatives must urgently investigate and resolve the serious allegations of wrongdoing by Rep. Omar.”
